On Diet

Posted by – July 19, 2010

So I’ve started my slimming program and I’ve yet to see much results, so in addition, I’m going on a healthy diet. Why do I say healthy diet? Well, most diets AREN’T healthy since you’re starving yourself and denying your body the nutrition it needs. (Yes I’ve been researching and reading everything I can find on this subject). So, following the slogan of an article I read, Stop Dieting, Start Eating!

Yes, a contradiction – but the only way to lose weight HEALTHILY is

1. to start eating the right food

2. knowing what metabolism type

3. and some exercise.

After going thru a quiz, I found out I’m a Mixed Type (Carb Type and Protein Type) so I can mix my mealplans from these two types. I get hungry at different times and I feel satisfied and full (not sleepy/not craving) at certain foods as well.

The principles to follow:

1. Sugar is evil. Artificial sweetener is evil too (its processed “stuff” yeck!) this includes carbonated drinks, tinned / bottled drinks..

2. Hydrogenated Oils, Margarine, Canola Oil – evil. Go for real butter, coconut oil

3. Any processed food – SUPER EVIL. Your liver too busy to get rid of this chemically-factory-made “stuff” to do its work and break down body fats. Dont eat anything with corn starch, fructose, anything with chemical names.. yeck!

4. Eat natural food – eggs, lean meat, chicken, fruits, vegies.

How?

1. Manage your calorie intake – eat often but not heavily – this will manage your hunger

2. Eat fruits (apples, oranges), rice, eggs, boiled chicken, beef. Green vegies.

3. Drink green tea and something I mixed (ginger, lemon plus honey) to detox and flush toxins, fats out.

4. Daily exercise, just a short one to sweat it out and tone your body.

I’m on Day 7 – and I’ve lost 1.6kg so far. Hmm.. have to work harder!

Adobe Photoshop CS5

Hellooooo~ I finally have CS5 ! And just a quick rundown..

- Content Aware IS AWESOME!!

- Masking / Selection is much more easier!

This is going to be easier on me to cutout and removing unwanted distractions! Its not a perfect logarithm but its definitely an improvement :)

On other news:

- My Alyze is done! She’s at a customizer having her face done. She looks perfect .. can’t wait to get her home.

- My c-mount Taylor & Hobson lens is here already. Now I’m just waiting for my adapters.

- I am on leave til 24th for a much needed break. Sooo… hoping my adapters would arrive quick so I can play XD

- Am also on a Disney binge.. watched Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast and Aladdin so far =D

- Started my diet / health / slimming – aiming to lose at least 5 kg :P

So impersonal

For a personal blog, Murosaki doesnt feel like a personal blog anymore. I keep telling you all (and myself) that I’d write more. But I’ve been too worried, if I write too much of the normal daily stuff, wouldn’t you all be bored to death? Like “today I did this, and had that and read this.” Well, its all about how people write about it. I love how Maurina writes as well as Jan Shim, who is also a photographer like myself (but way better in expressing himself through photos AND words) .. unfortunately I dont have the talent to write creatively (or maybe lazy.. haha). Hence why my entries are sporadic.

But the reason why I started a blog in the first place was for ME. Not to please readers, but to please me, so I could look back and read about my days and remember about my days, no matter how boring it was. I wanted to re-read about what I was doing 2-3 years ago, remember that book I read or a movie I watched.

So yes, here comes the “dear diary” entry (after the cut) XD

Congrats Chelsea!

Champion of English Premier League 2010!

Congratulations to Chelsea for winning this year’s EPL! It was close last year and I’m happy they made it this year. Chelsea Chelsea!! :)

Yesterday Sunday, we had a family lunch at Mangrove and I brought Q along =D It was just one of those nice days. Thx bebeh xoxo.

On the way to the Malaysian Expo held at Indoor Stadium, Q saw this huge bird at a pond near the Mentiri Highway. What bird is it? Curious, we went and took a photo of it, shame I didn’t bring my zoom lens =/

At the Expo, got those “loss kiloss” detoxin patches and weight loss patches by Citra. I’ve already tried the “loss kiloss” patches last night, man .. this morning they turned BLACK from all my toxins -_-;; Will try the weight loss at home as my brother tried it and it was heaty! Wouldn’t wanna suffer tht in office =P

Ramadhan

Belated, but better late than never.

I would like to wish all Muslimin and Muslimah, “Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puasa”. If I did you wrong, annoyed, hit, bite.. please forgive me =)

Its the 2nd day of puasa and the first day at work. I discovered how easily annoyed I get at little things and many times today I had to remind myself not to cuss and that I’m fasting! heh heh. Especially during driving!!! (I’m sure many people agree with me on this one).

I’ve been watching the anime d Grayman, set 10 (the latest one) .. and I’m back to fangirl mode, lol. Can I cosplay as someone from d Grayman?? Hehehe.

Anyway, LOMO fever is running high. I’m torn between getting a Holga and the Fisheye lens, or a Diana and the fisheye, or just the awesomely purple Fisheye camera. XD I’m still doing my pro and cons.. !

Bebehless: Day 5

Germany 0 – Spain 1

Euro 2008 finishes with an unexpected winner. Q was right, its always not who people thought it’d be. I was sure Germany’d win! Oh well, I didn’t follow Euro after Italy got booted out. Disappointed! But congratulations are in order for THE winner, Spain. Really unexpected and they’re really doubly celebrating the fact that the last time they got it was 44 years ago!

BDAC Walkathon

Woke up at 6am to go for the walkaton @ Stadium. The turnout was really really low this year, probably due to very little publicity being done. I was expecting loads of people, taking last year’s hugely successful turnout into account, as retold by some photogs who went for last year’s. The good thing was the support from BFF members coming to the event, hopefully we all learn a lot with every outing, and meet more new photogs!

After that went to JC for breakfast and lepak with the new faces in BFF.. Cuba try testing lenses, the usual lalalaaa…

I didn’t want to go home yet (and do what, sleep?? and waste my sunday??) so went to BE lepaks for a while to cool off in the aircon and doing my online routine (have I said I can’t live without the internet?) XD until lunchtime and went back to aptmt to try and sleep, as I was planning a BE session for phoenixlancer’s bday. Turned out had a good time hanging out with Simi and Seph and PL of cos over the yummeh-iest coffee cheesecake evar!

Watched The Accidental Husband and The Other Boleyn Girl .. as sleeping proved impossible. Hm. Then rushed to get cake for PL and luckily I was their last customer mwahaha.

Blue Eden

Texted BFF members whose contacts I have, to come to BE by 7.30, and to PL at 8pm and then lepaked while gaming on Maple. Hehe! The cue was when I stood to go inside and the boys were to get ready their cameras. Waheyy it went well but two of the candles got blown off by the aircon, hehe. Cake was delicious and it was ALSO coffee flavoured cheesecake! It was fate I tell you.

Caught a movie after that. Which movie? You’ve gotta ask yourself this… “What the fuck have you done lately??”. Haha yes, its the WANTED movie, starring James Mc Avoy. With Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman amongst the cast. I rate this movie 20/10! I was advised not to think about it (storyline) and just enjoyed the action, so I proceeded to do just that, but in the end, I thought about it, and altough it IS farfetched, it is what entertaiment is supposed to do. I was happily and awesomely entertained with this movie. WATCH IT NOW!

So Happy Birthday again PL and hope you had a good time on your day!

Update on Guam:

The paper reported on the Guam vs Brunei game yesterday afternoon. Was it 6pm here when it was 4pm there? *confused* Unfortunately Guam was too strong for Brunei as they scored 74 – 0 against Brunei. I’ll still bet Guam dudes will be sore after receiving tackles from our boys.

There will be another game on 2 July, Brunei vs Philippines. Come on boys!!
